Holtzlander/Wolf Pack Racing Updates

This Saturday started off eventful, He was 3rd quick in the first warm up session and 1st in the second session. And in both sessions Darrell had to do some evasive actions. In the first session, as he entered between the 1st n 2nd turns he seen Nicole "Deva" Devos had been in an accident with Paul Ritchie had an accident just before he entered the corner and took the only open space available and went high to avoid Deva and went off the back stretch to avoid them. In the 2nd session he was racing it hard to see if the changes they made helped. Well they did help but they found another problem as Darrell went into turn 1 and lost a RR tire and Hub. But thankfully he was able to keep it off the wall and went off the track in turn 2 again. So to say the least the crew and Darrell had an eventfull afternoon Saturday.
He went out in qualifying and didn't know how the car was going to work and if there was any unforseen damage done to the car when the hub broke earlier and qualified 7th quick. In the heat race he just road around out back and didn't want to get intlo any of the carnage that was being caused up front.
In the feature event Darrell would start on the outside of the front row along side Brad Hastings. On the start Darrell would lead the first lap as everyone was coming around for the 2nd lap Brad would spin between turns 3 and 4. On the restart Darrell would lead them down to the start and would not look back and by lap 10 he would have almost a 2.5 second lead on the 2nd place car. But that would evaporate quickly when that caution came out again on the 10th lap for Mike Speet, who broke a RR hub going into turn 3 and slammed the wall hard. Now with the 2.5 second lead gone and our current points leader right on Darrells back bumper, He thought the best thing to do is bring everyone to the green slowly and that is what he did perfectly. Cole roeloffs would be pushing Darrell hard for the final 5 laps. But we were able to pull off a popular victory..

On another Note we want to say a Happy Belated Birthday to Darrell. And Arik has decided to pull back this year and not race a full season and concentrate on his family. So we have agreed to honor some of his sponsors and would like to welcome them to our team. And congradulations to Arik n Stephanie on thier engagement.
